is this legal in canada

We are able to ship our launchers into Canada. Please visit Byrna.ca for more information and to make your purchase. The Byrna launchers are NOT affected by the recent legislation passed in Canada These new restrictions only apply to handguns that were already subject to firearm licensing requirements in Canada. The change is that, for handguns that always required a registration certificate to purchase, the government will no longer grant the certificates. Byrna launchers never required a certificate. Can you ship to California

We ship to California the TCR-Tactical Compact Rifle, Mission 4 rifle, and Byrna Universal Pistol Kits. We can not ship the PEPPER or MAX projectiles into California.  We can not ship ANY products to San Francisco. Byrna's Shipping Restrictions are set by each individual area or state. The Byrna is legal to purchase and own without a permit or LTC in 50 states*. The Byrna Launcher is not considered a firearm, however, it is not a toy! Like any other weapon, be it a hammer, knife or baseball bat, the Byrna should never be brandished or used in a threatening manner, except as necessary in the defense of oneself or others.  While the Byrna can be carried openly and does not require a concealed carry permit, Byrna recommends that because the Byrna launchers closely resemble actual firearms, they be carried discreetly. What is the difference in a projectile and a Kinectic projectile

Our Byrna Kinetic Projectiles do not contain any active or inert ingredients. These hard, solid plastic projectiles do not break upon impact and can discourage, deter, and delay an attacker. Byrna Kinetic Projectiles also provide useful training without the necessity of traveling to a practice range and are reusable which makes practicing with your Byrna very cost effective. Our Eco-Kinetic are meant to be environmentally friendly, the ECO Kinetic projectiles are water-soluble and will begin to dissolve upon contact with moisture. If exposed to humidity in the air, these rounds begin to swell and degrade, which can eventually lead to jamming and feeding issues when fired from our launchers. Leaving them inside the launcher can cause them to swell and jam due to humidity. The best practice to prevent this from happening is to keep the projectiles tightly sealed until just before use, and to limit their exposure to open air as much as possible when waiting to be fired. The ECO Kinetic rounds are designed to be an inexpensive, practice only projectile that allows you to shoot with no cleanup required. The projectiles are not as accurate as the other options due to the ring in the middle that is formed due to the manufacturing process. Accuracy was not the main focus in designing these projectiles. Cost per round and the easy cleanup were the main priorities.
